As I stated in one of the previous blog entries, Windows XP will soon be gone, but that should not be the reason you should stop using it. Windows XP proved to be one of the most user friendly and stable operating system. So far, a repeat of such success is awaited eargerly by Microsoft. Even though they sold millions of Windows Vista copies but users were not happy. Therefore, some users decided to stay back with Windows XP. Those who stayed back can enjoy the use of add-on tools.

To cut the story short, if you are using Windows XP and want to spice it up by putting more cool stuff, here are some tools that you can add to get more out of Windows XP. Here is the list of utilities that are part of the Windows XP PowerToys:

  • Webcam Timershot

These are great tools to help you. Install them and enjoy them, but be aware that you have read through the instructions for each one of them before installing. Microsoft does NOT offer support for PowerToys as it is an additional pack, and is not part of the operating system.
